This hotel offers good value for money, with all the basic facilities you need for a comfortable stay. The location is quite central, making it easy to explore the city centre on foot. The staff here are friendly and attentive, and the rooms are clean and well-equipped with average furniture.

Comfortable Bed and Modern Bathroom

My partner and I booked this hotel for a romantic escape, and the comfortable bed was definitely a highlight. We had a great night's sleep and woke up feeling refreshed. The modern bathroom was also a plus, with all the amenities we needed.

The hotel's location was inconvenient for us, as it was quite far from the town center and had no nearby public transportation options. The facilities were also quite bare-bones, with no restaurant or breakfast service and a small kitchen with limited cooking equipment.

I liked having my own room with facilities

I did not like the fact that it had no staff and that you had to check in at another hotel which was a few blocks away. Also the door of the room was not easy to open

This hotel was very affordable and provided good value for the price. The location was convenient, as it was either in the city center or old city center, and it was a quiet place to stay. The staff were friendly and the basic amenities, like private bathrooms in all the rooms and breakfast, were included. The rooms were well-equipped with average furniture and all the basic facilities.

Within walking distance from a bustling downtown area that is full of wonderful fresh air, this hotel has a great location. The soothing ambiance of this centrally located hotel's spacious rooms provides for a comfortable stay. The rooms offer clean, well-appointed bathrooms, lovely views, and wonderful breakfasts which make it even more enjoyable. The lobby is welcoming and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

The parking is not ideal for larger vehicles.

Comfort and cleanliness are the two most important things and this hostel had both. For what you pay you get a pretty good deal having your own bathroom and shower. Didn't bother me that there was no reception on site, the Hotel Santa Claus staff were so friendly and helpful, plus there is a buzzer on the front door and phone in the room to contact them if you need anything. Rovaniemi is not a big town so the location of the hostel is good as you can access supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, bars and attractions by foot in a short time.

Not a good common room downstairs so it makes it very hard to meet other people staying in the hostel. If you are only staying one or two nights and just want to keep to yourself then fine, but I was travelling solo and found the atmosphere non-existent. I didn't mind the short walk from Hotel Santa Claus to the hostel but some people might.
